According to the Wayback Machine, the last time Winchester Co-operative Bank completed a website redesign was back in 2015. In the ensuing years, the site had some minor and major adjustments, but the basic framework of the site remained the same.
Approaching the Bank’s first full website redesign in nearly 10 years, the Bank had several goals including improving functionality, useability, and cross-sell. Through the website development process, we would also be working with the client to review and understand the product and service mix, as well as evaluate and establish new brand standards and voice for all other marketing projects and communications.
Hosted by our friends at Dovetail Internet Technologies, the new WordPress-driven website is responsive with a new mega-menu style navigation. Carefully curated stock photography was selected to both support the Bank’s branding, as well as show a diverse customer base. Behind the scenes, we utilized tools to maximize useability including on-screen accessibility testing and next-generation images (known as “webp”).
Before launch, we provided the Bank with a customized user guide, as well as training so they can take care of day-to-day updates including rates, news, and alerts.
