Creating a new community engagement campaign, we were looking to reinforce the Bank’s history, strengthen the connections to the towns the Bank serves, and drive traffic into their offices.
Inspired by the pride we have in, and the thrill we receive whenever we get something with the name of, our own hometowns, we suggested a campaign were anyone – customers and non-customers alike – could come into their local branch and leave with a mug bearing the name of their town. To help drive the campaign, we would include the giveaway in a companion checking campaign, while the Bank would share photos of people picking up their mugs.
The campaign, which required the Bank reorder mugs for several branches, was considered a success as it engaged the customers, drove traffic, and excited the branch team!
