Kicking off a new website for Charles River Bank we were given specific requirements – The site had to be easy to manage using a Content Management System (CMS) which could be hosted by the Bank’s selected vendor while supporting the Bank’s branding through a modern, responsive design.
And it all had to be done – from start to finish – in 72 days.
Starting with a new site map, we established an overview of the new site as well as a navigation plan.
Having selected WordPress as the CMS for the new site, we put the project on the fast track by selecting a premium theme that could be customized to meet the Bank’s needs.
Reviewing and rewriting content for the site, we focused on reinforcing the Bank’s tagline – Personal Connections. Powerful Solutions – through copy, as well as integrating videos and photography developed during the Bank’s 100th anniversary.
While carefully curating stock photography for use throughout the site, we selected images that presented a diverse customer base, while also including one unifying feature. (Can you spot it?)
In addition to the responsive design, we added new client-friendly functionality including interactive calculators from KJE Computer Solutions, a new Customer Care and Security Center, and a new tool to assist with acessibility.
As the deadline approached, our final challenge was moving the site from the development environment at Dovetail Internet Technologies, to its final home.
Working together we were able to launch the site on time, with no disruption to customers and positive reviews from the Bank.
